I've spent this week trying to be as busy as possible so I can be completely ready for Lily to come. I deep cleaned the entire house (and now I'm a little OCD about keeping it clean until Lily comes). I sewed Christmas stockings for the three of us, and I loved doing that. One day, I even thought my water broke, so I went in to the doctor to get it checked out. False alarm. Lily is very comfortable where she is, and that is just fine by me. But, I'm dilated to a 2, so that's a little progress. And I'm having lots of contractions. But not the real kind yet. Still very exciting though :)
These are the stockings I made. David's is the one without the ruffle because apparently, ruffles are girly. Who knew.
Last night, David and I made a cute little gingerbread house. Two years ago when we had only been dating for a couple of months, David and I made a gingerbread house with his roommate Cameron. Let's just say, our gingerbread house looked like it was built for hobos; it was complete with shark gummys in the front lawn, giant candy legos in the yard, and thick green frosting plastered on top of everything. This year, we tried to step it up a bit, and although it's not perfect, we made quite an improvement, don't you think? To finish off the night, we watched Elf. Classic. Anyways, I could not be more excited to spend Christmas at home with my siblings, to welcome Lily into the world, and to attend my little sister's wedding in less than three weeks. Lots to look forward to.
Our gingerbread house in December 2010. Quite the piece of work I suppose...
December 2010; weren't we cute? Who knew we'd be married by now and have a little baby on the way.
