Info Post
The past two weeks have completely flown by, and I feel so grateful.  David has been sick all but 2 days since Lily was born, and I was sick for 5 days.  The biggest blessing? Lily has been healthy the whole time.  It's been a miracle, and I think it's the Lord's way of showing us that He's in charge.  One reason why we love the name Lily is because of the scriptures in Matthew 6:28-32 talking about the lilies of the field and how the Lord takes care of them, and how much more He will take care of us.  Even since the beginning of my pregnancy, the Lord has showed us countless times that he takes care of us more than we ever can ourselves.  The fact that Lily hasn't gotten sick is just one example of that.  And that David did well on finals despite being sick, getting no sleep, and taking care of Lily.  And that so many generous people brought us yummy meals after Lily was born.  And that we were all feeling good enough to go to my sister's wedding in Dallas with a 2 week-old Lily.  The Lord is taking care of us, and it's so important to count my blessings especially when I feel completely exhausted all the time (which is how I've been feeling lately).

My new little buddy :)

Grandpa holding Lily for the first time.  She loves him already.

Our little Christmas-bear :)

David surprised Lily and bought her this cute little Christmas bib; she loves it :)
David decided to surprise me this week.  My best friend Erin and her husband John came to Dallas, and David arranged for us to meet up with them without telling me.  David asked if I wanted to go on a date to my favorite restaurant, BJs.  Of course I said yes; how could you say no to those pazookies and a date with your handsome husband?  My mom babysat Lily, and off we went.  And when we got to BJs, Erin and John were already there.  I was totally surprised; we hadn't seen them for 6 months, and I'd been missing them.  I was so excited to see them.  That David always figures out how to surprise me, and I LOVE that.  Afterwards, Erin and John came over and met Lily.  And of course she loved them.

Lily and I just love Ern.  What a great best friend :)
