Lily's first Sunday

Lily and I won't be going to church for a few more weeks, but I wanted us to dress up in church clothes so it felt more like Sunday.  Gram and Grandpa are visiting this weekend, and they have been such a great help to us.  David's mom Terri stayed for a couple of days and will be back next week to help us get David through finals.  It has been such an amazing blessing to have Terri and my mom's help, and Lily loves her grandmas.  David and I feel exhausted, but I can't imagine how we would feel without all of their help.

This is the quilt that Grammy made for Lily; I love that Lily has a quilt made by her great-grandma.  What a special and beautiful gift.

Lily LOVES her daddy; it is so precious.  No one can calm her down like he can.  Last night, I spent an hour and a half trying to calm her down (with no success).  So I handed her off to David, and 30 seconds later, she was asleep.  It is the sweetest thing, and I LOVE seeing David as a new daddy.  He's incredible, and we've already learned SO much this week as parents.  I've never felt so much joy in my life, and I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to have this precious daughter.  I love you Lily :)
