Chaperoning a high school dance

This year, David and I have been working as dorm parents (like RAs) at a high school here.  And so this weekend, we (and by we I mean David) chaperoned the Valentine's Day Dance.  We went early and got Lily dressed up for dinner in her Valentine attire.  Dinner was a pasta bar with breadsticks, Ceasar salad, and spinach dip with pita bread.  And about 10 different types of heart-shaped cakes.  Everything was decked out in red and pink with sparkly streamers, Hershey kisses, and balloons spread all throughout the tables.  And before the kids started dancing, Lily got to dance with daddy to Michael Buble.  She loved dancing with her daddy, and it made me so happy to see my two best friends having a blast out on the dance floor.
