Info Post
Well, it's official, I turned 23 this week and TSwift needs to write a new song for me.  But besides that, this was by far my favorite birthday because I spent the entire day with my best buds.  Lily woke me up promptly at 4:30 am to wish me happy birthday with cries for food; I got to spend the first coherent minutes of being 23 by feeding my Little, and I loved that.

For breakfast, David surprised me with warm cinnamon rolls, kolaches, and fresh fruit.  And afterwards? David and I snuck in a morning nap once Lily fell asleep.

11:00 am was family portraits.  We wore aqua, spring green, and pink.  Random, I know, but I promise it worked.

Afterwards, David went to class for a couple of hours (note: he skipped his morning classes).  But then there was a supposed snowstorm?  His classes got cancelled, and we ran over to the Cheesecake Factory to eat a 3 pm dinner before the blizzard of the century hit.  The waiters sang to me, and Lily eyed my chocolate cake.  Then we rushed over to Forever 21 so I could pick out some birthday jewelry and give this whole layering thing a try.

David hid my card in his jacket the entire time. Crazy kid.

And did I mention that David gave me the best birthday present ever? A certificate for a 90 minute Swedish massage.  My appointment is next week, and I am DYING to go.

David put the bandaid over top of the Groupon because he didn't want me to see the price.  Funny guy.

Around 4:30 pm we ran home, and I decided that we'd all change into our pajamas because it was about to snow.  I got out our warm blankets and fuzzy socks, and the three of us snuggled while watching episodes of the Middle.  And then Shallow Hal. And then we ate leftovers from linner.  Turns out, it never snowed.

I got lots of texts and calls from loved ones, and this was by far my favorite birthday.  There is nothing better than spending an entire day with my two best buds and getting to choose what we do the whole time.

I forgot to add to mention that the weekend before my birthday, we went home to Dallas to celebrate with my family.  I hadn't been home for my birthday in 4 years, and I got to celebrate with niece Bethany who turned four.  What a cutie pie.
