We've been wanting to have the Boyers over for a long time, and I'm so glad we finally did. Braden and Mandy went to BYU too, but we met them down here because Braden is in med school with David. And they have the most adorable little kids, Brightyn and Jack. We had them over for family home evening this week where we sang, prayed, and had a little lesson about this. Then we made tin foil dinners filled with onions, potatoes, chicken, green bell peppers, mushrooms, squash, and green beans (stick in the oven for 30 minutes at 425 degrees; add whatever seasoning you want). Dinner was filled with conversation about summer internships and telling Brightyn not to eat her food (because then she actually would eat it). And although I'm sure Lily and baby Jack will be great friends, Lily was enamored with Brightyn.
We finished off the evening with banana boats: cut open bananas stuffed with marshmallows and chocolate, then wrapped in tin foil and put in the oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Not too unhealthy, eh?
We love the Boyers and we're grateful for their good examples to us. Check out Mandy's cute blog here.
