Info Post
Our weekend plans fell through last weekend, so David and I got in an extra date night. It was perfect.  We made my favorite chips and dip recipe.
sausage chip dip
1 can of Rotel tomatoes with chiles, 1 pkg. of cream cheese, 1 pkg. of browned sausage.  Put in crockpot for 1 hr. on high.  I doubled this recipe.
Then we made apple cider for the second time this month.  Apple cider gets me so excited for the holidays.

I never use a recipe.  I just add apple juice, orange slices, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and maple syrup to a pot on the stove. So delicious.
Then we read "Heaven is Here" by Stephanie Nielson.  Actually, I finished that book in three days last week.  And I told David all about it.  So he wanted to read it too.  So to finish up our date night, we read the book outloud to each other for 3 hours.  Such a good idea.  And I love this book; it helps me remember how blessed I am.

Family Home Evening this week.  David and I work every Monday night.  So family home evening is pushed to either Tuesdays or Wednesdays.  Last night, our Tuesday FHE involved going to Kaiser's, an old soda shop that was built in 1910.  It's still around and just a few blocks away.  And yes, we ordered the biggest dessert we could find.  Probably one of my favorite FHE activities.

yep, we demolished it.
And here are some of my latest projects I've been meaning to post.  First: Lily's quilt.  My mom helped me make it, and she actually did all the hard parts.  Good thing for moms.  This is the quilt that will go in Lily's bed.  And I made bunting to decorate her bedroom.  I can't wait to hang it up.  Also, Lily's crib came in last week, and I am just so so excited.  Tomorrow, I will be 34 weeks along.  Can you believe it?  Time has gone by so fast.  I cannot wait to meet this cute little girl who makes me smile every time she moves around inside of me.  Pregnancy has been 100 times easier than I thought because no one told me what a blessing it would be.  I mean, I get to grow a baby inside of me.  So amazing.  All the hard times are worth it because I feel so very blessed. I'm grateful for little Lily and for an incredible husband who takes me out for GIANT ice cream, cleans up our apartment when I'm at work, misses his class to stay home with me when I'm sick, and comforts me when I wake up in the middle of the night with scary dreams about robbers.  Life is good.
