Info Post
One of my favorite things in the whole world is celebrating holidays and being festive.  Growing up, my mom always made the holidays so exciting for us.  Even in college each year, she sent me packages with treats and decorations for Halloween, Christmas, Easter, etc. so I could get ready for the holidays.  It was wonderful, and I want to be just like her when I grow up.  David is always so supportive of me, and I think he's really looking forward to having homemade chili on Halloween (my mom's tradition that I started last year).  So, last night, David let me be really festive by having a pre-Halloween night:

family tradition
Meet Charlie.  David did all the hard parts of cutting the pumpkin and pulling out all the goop.

And I designed the pumpkin and picked through the pumpkin seeds.

Even Lily was a part of Halloween this year.

And then we baked pumpkin seeds: cinnamon and sugar on the right, and garlic Italian on the left.

And it was David's idea to have yummy hot chocolate to make our night even more festive.
Last week, it was David's idea to deliver treats to a couple of friends.  So I made Halloween (oreo) cake balls one day while he was at work.  I still need practice with my cake ball skills, but they still turned out to be festive.
