Banquet Dinner
Info Post
David and I went to a very fancy dinner last week. David began attending an interest group for school called CMDA (I believe it is the Christian Medical and Dental Association). As part of that group, we were able to attend a free banquet lecture dinner, aka-amazing free food. After dinner, we heard two interesting speeches about ethics and applying Christian principles to the medical field. It was really neat to find other people on campus who have the same morals as us. For the banquet, we got all dressed up extra nice and headed over to the country club where the dinner was held. The country club was beautiful with glass chandeliers, fire places, and marble pillar columns. We sat by a doctor who told David all about the volunteer work he's done in South America, and David was very interested. You see, it's our goal to one day make enough money to travel to South America once a year and do medical volunteer work there. That's why I still need to learn Spanish. We had a wonderful evening, and enjoyed another wonderful perk of med school.
