Info Post
This weekend has been quite the adventure.  David got sick on Thursday, Lily on Friday, and I woke up with a sore throat this morning.  For David and Lily this turned out to be a fever, sneezing, coughing, and exhaustion.  The whole enchilada.  Everything turned out much differently than we planned for our first Spring Break weekend: a weekend with friends, golfing, out in the warm weather, and relaxing from a long few weeks of work and school.  Instead, we stayed home, slept, rented movies, and played cards.  As David and I found out this weekend, you still have to be a parent when you're sick.  Who knew.  Just kidding.  But really, there are no breaks from this parenting job, and we love it even if we feel completely exhausted sometimes.  Here are all the things I'm grateful for:

+Family family family.  Who else would I rather spend the entire weekend than with my two best buds?

+Dayquil and naps.  I would be so much more exhausted without these two things.

+A date to Cheever's this weekend.  As it turns out, Cheever's is much more classy and expensive than we thought.  We showed up at 6:30 on a Friday night without reservations, and that was awkward.  Luckily, we made it onto patio seating within 5 minutes, and we had the loveliest time.

+Spring break.  Spending time with our families in Duncan and Dallas.  All. Week. Long.  And Miss Lily got a new bathing suit, jelly sandals, and a sunhat.  This girl is all set for Spring Break.  More pictures coming soon.

+Good health.  Although we've been sick a lot more than we would have liked since Lily was born, we have made 0 hospital trips, and that is just wonderful.

+Green waffles for St. Patrick's Day.  These things were delicious.  New tradition maybe?

+Miss Lil and her snuggling.  Since being sick, Lil wants to be snuggled all the time.  She fell asleep on my chest during our Friday night movie night, and I loved it.  That never happens, and I've been enjoying it.

I think there are difficult and trying experiences for everyone.  Sometimes they seem cookie-cutter fit just for us.  Like each person is given a trial that is hardest for them, even if that trial would be easy for someone else.  But life is so much better if I count the positive instead of the negative.  And then I realize how truly blessed I am.
