Info Post
David went back to school today after a two-and-a-half week break.  It was SO nice to have him home to help me adjust to being a new mom.  The first week Lily was born, both our moms came in town to help out while David took his finals. Then David got out of school.  The last 4 weeks have been full of lots of help.

Today began my full-time job as a stay-at-home mom.  My first day spent taking care of Lily with David being gone.  Last night was my first night taking care of Lily all by myself and letting David get some sleep so could rest  before his first day back at school.  Surprisingly, I really enjoyed spending time with Lil during the early hours of the morning and getting only 4 1/2 hours of sleep because she's so darn adorable.  Thank goodness for daytime naps.

Here's what Lily and I did while David was at school: Lily took a bath (which she LOVED), I made a dental appointment, we threw in a couple loads of laundry (which have yet to be folded), we took two BIG naps, I wrote some emails (with Lily's help of course), and I cleaned up the house (one-handed because I was holding Lily).

Lily LOVES bathtime :)

David came home for lunch which was a special treat.  Lily woke up from her nap just in time for David to hold her before he headed back to campus. This girl loves her daddy.

One thing I've learned about being a mom is that I can't be OCD about finishing things.  I have to be able to stop in the middle of what I'm doing to hold Lily when she's crying, to wipe spit up off her face, or to change a blow-out diaper.  But it's worth it because I LOVE taking care of this sweet girl.  Lily and I quite enjoyed our first day together, and tonight, Lily has a date with her daddy while I go to a church meeting.  Lily and I are so grateful that she has such a hard-working and loving daddy who makes time to take care of her and serve us.
