Info Post
I like having a clean house.  And by "like," I mean love.  Love my clean house.  I think a clean house is very welcoming and inviting but also brings the Spirit into the home.

Before Lil was born, I had tons of time to keep the house clean.  Now, not so much.  95% of my time is spent taking care of this little girl (or sleeping so I'll feel rested enough to take care of her), and that doesn't leave a ton of time for cleaning.

However, I think it is more important to spend time with Lily than keep a perfectly clean house.  I don't want to regret that I didn't spend enough time with her and that I spent too much time worrying about the home.  One day, I won't be able to snuggle her in my arms when she's sleeping, and I know I'll forever miss that.  I still plan on keeping the house semi-orderly, but I want to enjoy every minute with this little nugget.

Tonight while David was studying, Lil and I made Texas Sheet Cake.  And we made a giant MESS on top of our already messy apartment.  And it was okay.  I mixed the ingredients, cracked an egg, spilled cocoa everywhere, all while holding Lily in one arm.  Very messy. But Lil LOVED it even more than her bath.  She just looked around at everything and smiled.  We had so much fun together, and the kitchen was a disaster.  You can't tell from the picture but I had cocoa all down the front of my shirt and spit up all over my sleeve.  So worth it.  I still want to be clean and orderly as much as I can, but spending time with Lil is my top priority.  I hope I always remember to play with my children in spite of making messes.  Because Lily has taught me these past 6 weeks that children grow up way too fast.
